img_7809I definitely have a go to style and it’s usually curls and it usually involves a braid of some sort. Casey Fox, Eclipz Salon Studio co-owner, beauty product connoisseur and my sister-in-law, knows exactly how I love to wear my hair. I don’t always know how to explain the look that I’m going for and I don’t always have a photo to represent that look, but somehow she just “gets me.”

For the GoDaddy Holiday party this year, I showed Casey an inspirational photo from a local hair stylist’s Instagram of a look that she did for a photo shoot recently. I didn’t want my hair to be exactly the same as the photo and even though I didn’t say much, Casey knew exactly what to do.

img_7827I loved the dutch braids that pulled my hair out of my face and gave my hair some dimension. I don’t usually wear my hair away from my face like this, but I have to say that it was so easy and refreshing to have it pulled back that I’m wondering why I don’t wear my hair like this more often.
img_7829I was amazed that Casey literally did my hair in under 30 minutes while another client was processing color. She used a flat iron on my entire head to give my hair body, and then went back over the curls with a curling iron to incorporate some dimension in order to create the relaxed beach wave curls that you see here, all before doing a french dutch braid on each side. In the back she pined the two braids to be along side each other on the crown of my head. She added volume in the back by teasing slightly as well.
