Dermalogica has always been one of my favorite skincare brands. Since last August, Dermalogica has also been my favorite spot for last minute skincare treatments, in-and-out facials, and of course fun community events centered around beauty. Monday evening I stopped in to see my favorite girls. The Store Manager Angela Miles is back from maternity leave, so it was awesome to catch up and hear all about baby Lila. I had the opportunity to test out the new Daily Superfoliant product and receive one of their microZone treatments. My face felt so good when I left!

The Daily Superfoliant is a resurfacing, anti-pollution powder exfoliant. After cleansing your face, you apply it to your face in circular motions and massage for about a minute before washing it off. It actually comes in a powder form and you add a little water to create a paste in your hands, similar to their Daily Microfoliant product. I have super sensitive skin, so for me I would use this product every other day or every couple of days, but for people without sensitive skin you can actually use it daily.

The awesome thing about going into Dermalogica and testing out this treatment is that they have a residue detector that shows the pollution on your skin. It’s crazy to see how much nastiness is just hanging out on your face. By the end of the day I can feel it and I know it’s there, but it’s hard to see. In the photo above, you’ll see the pollution on my skin (black dots on the grey circle) and a clean residue detector that is solid grey. This Daily Superfoliant helps fight the biochemical and environmental triggers known to accelerate skin aging, which I am all about! This product is part of Dermalogica’s AGE Smart line. The anti-pollution technology used in this exfoliant is totally new. It uses activated Binchotan Charcoal to purify the skin and absorb environmental toxins deep within your pores, while other ingredients, like Red Algae and Tara Fruit Extract, help guard your skin from the damaging effects of pollution.

Now that you know all about this great new product, Dermalogica is inviting you to test it out. They are hosting a Valentine’s Day event called “Love Your Skin” on Monday, February 13 from 4pm-6pm where they are providing 10 minute Skin Detox FaceFits at the SkinBar and a pout application from The Sparkle Bar! If you haven’t been to The Sparkle Bar yet, this is a great opportunity to meet a makeup artist from The Sparkle Bar and leave with amazing skin and kiss worthy lips.

A $10 ticket includes the following:

  • A 10-minute professional Skin Detox treatment designed to quickly detoxify and resurface skin in a flash!
  • A Face Mapping zone-by-zone skin analysis and consultation.
  • A $10 store credit to be used at the Dermalogica Scottsdale store.

  1. I tried one of their face creams once and love it, but that air pollution technology sounds so interesting. Curious to try it. Thanks for sharing!
