My favorite colors to wear are usually some combination of grey, black and white. I know super crazy! Although I love getting dressed up and wearing the season’s hottest color, on a daily basis I prefer no-fuss basics. They’re always the easiest to wear, so comfy and you can really add any accessory with a basic and have it look completely different the next time you wear it. On this particular day, I was feeling a little sassy and I wanted to test out my new Kylie Lip Kit, so I’m calling this look “Moody.” Ps. my Fox necklace is from a local jewelry company called Sugar Bean Jewelry

First things first, let’s talk about how to care for your lashes. When these photos were taken it was January 2nd, 2017 and I was in my 5th week using Lash Boost. Currently, I’m almost to my 12th week and it’s pretty incredible to see the length and thickness that my lashes now have. To see my progress pics from 4 weeks and 8 weeks click on the links. The blog posts will tell you all about how to use Lash Boost and what it can do for you. If you’re interested in ordering, reach out to Tristin Nasser.

Once you discover a healthy way to take care of your lashes, then you obviously want to use the best mascara to show them off. I had heard about Too Faced Cosmetics mascara called Better Than Sex from other bloggers. To my surprise, my sister Casey bought me a sample as a set for Christmas. She has the best way of reading my mind when it comes to birthdays and Christmas presents. Also, I am all about samples. I can never use an entire tube of a full size mascara without it drying out, getting sick of it or losing it, so I will stick to samples for now. I love the shape of this wand and how it helps to curl your lashes as you apply the mascara. It’s very dark and thick, which is also a plus for me. I recommend it for the girl who likes a dramatic eye that doesn’t smear or smudge.

Next, I tried experimenting with a new liquid eyeliner that I got in my IPSY bag. It’s by Hikari and it’s actually a plum color. I haven’t worn colored eyeliner in years, but I figured a plum color would add a little color to my grey and denim basic look. I love the long eyeliner! It’s super comfortable and easy to hold. Plus, the felt end is pointed to perfection to create whatever eye you want, like a cat eye, thin line, thick line, etc. I think the plum color is fun to use every once in awhile, but I probably won’t use this everyday. Now that I tested it out, I think I’ll purchase this brand in a black color too.

Lastly, I finished the look with the Kylie Lip Kit that inspired this look in the first place. During the holidays, Kylie Cosmetics was gifting a lip kit with a purchase. If you hit a total of $40, then it ships for free. So, what’s a girl to do?! I purchased myself a lip gloss in Candy K to go with my Candy K lip kit (lip liner and liquid lipstick) and another lip kit for a friend, and then I got this lip kit for free. The color is Vixen, which was a special holiday color. In the tube it looks like a deep plum-red and on me it almost looks black. It’s super fun to wear for a night out or to make a bold statement. I’d love to see what it looks like on someone who is tanner than me. I think it looks very dark on me since I’m so fair. I also wore it to a wedding recently and added a red color on top to brighten it up a little.

  1. WOW! Girl you look so amazing in these colors. I’m not bold enough to wear a lip color that dark. I also think with your pretty skin tone it looks perfect. The Lash Boost is super impressive too!
