5M7A5513The Pearce Family Foundation does such a great job putting on fun events that are meaningful and make a difference to families with a child facing a chronic or life-threatening illness. In this blog post, I’ll be talking about a past event that I attending, but I want to remind you that if you missed this event there are many other events to attend. THIS SATURDAY, June 11th, 2016 from 8:30am – 10:30am is the Goddesses & Gurus yoga event at the Montelucia. It is taking place on the Valencia lawn (I believe it’s the lawn behind the conference room in this map) with a gorgeous up close view of Camelback mountain. I’ve done workout events here before and that views is enough to get me there for another event. The co-founder of the Goddess Yoga Practice, Holly Zacchino and teacher Ciara Castleberry will be leading the spiritual journey through an empowering yoga class focused on finding one’s inner beauty and strength. There will be raffle prizes for grabs and the event goes to a great cause. Purchase your tickets by Wednesday, June 8th, 2016 HERE.

I had such a great time at the Runway of Hope event put on by the Pearce Family Foundation (PFF) a couple of months ago. If you need a reminder as to who or what PFF is, take a look at this blog post. Meghan Pearce, CEO, and Kylie Ray, Executive Assistant, did such an amazing job putting on the event and runway show. The event took place at the Old Coors Warehouse in Downtown Phoenix and was catered by Flower Child, Let’s Roll Catering, and Venezia’s Pizzeria. As you walked into the warehouse, there was the coolest photo booth, which is actually a bus called The Foto Booth Bus. Walking into the event you are greeted by Miss Glendale and Miss Goodyear. Inside the event there were many pop-up shops that featured some of the looks from the runway show meanwhile DJ Jimmy Stewart Jr was keeping the energy going.

Once every guest took their seats the fashion show started. Featured looks were from local boutiques and a couple of my personal favorites are shown below: Shop Pepper, Shop Olive You : a fashion parlor, 224 Apparel & Design, Obsessed By Shanel,Olga Gergel Fashion Designs NYC, R&R Surplusand Charmosa Swimwear. I loved that there was a variety between casual, dressy, mens and swimwear shown. Following the show, Meghan said a few words about what the foundation means to her. She discussed there various programs such as Angels Around Us and Angel Dogs. Testimonials were shown and the families touched by PFF were there to share their stories in person as well. This event raised $18,565 for families in our community. It was amazing to be a part of and to watch a community come together to support a cause as great as this.
