Sunflower orange has been my favorite accent color for 2017. I haven’t embraced it as much in my wardrobe for fear that it would wash out my porcelain skin tone or make me look too yellow. After falling in love with this dress from Love Verity, I knew I had to give this orange color a chance. I’m so glad I did. The trick for my skin tone is that this has elements of cool colors in it, which is what I have found to work best on my coloring. I love the double leg slits in the front to show off some leg and the one shoulder ruffle to add a hint of femininity without being too heavy as it would have been if it went across both shoulders.

I always have the best time when I shoot with Erika of Erika Greene Photography. Our shoots are filled with adventure, excitement and exploring a piece of Arizona. For this shoot we traveled a few hours north and found three completely different elements to shoot in. This is the first look, in the grassy meadow, then there was the uniquely shaped boulders (click here), and lastly I jumped into the water (click here .)

The styling came together perfectly. I worked with Erika for photography, Lauren for hair, Erica for makeup, Jenny for jewelry, and Kati for clothes. Everything came together really nicely to create the looks that we were going for, which allowed Erika to execute her vision perfectly. I love the contrast of the sunflower color against the tall green grass for this shoot, the neutrals against the boulders in the Wild Child shoot and lastly the color in the dress, hair and makeup in the dark water from the last look. I realize not everyone wants to climb into a lake fully dressed, but even taking your family photos or engagement photos in one of Arizona’s finest backgrounds will allow for a unique memory to have forever and to share with your family and friends. If styling yourself sounds like a daunting task let alone styling for your family or husband to be, let me help you to create the head-to-toe look to fit your style and vision.
