I understand that in most places in the United States, summer is over. However, in Arizona it’s slowly winding down. Typically, I get away with wearing summer dresses into November and slowly exchange with sandals for booties. Today’s outfit-of-the-day features one of my favorite party-girl dresses from H&M (I actually have it in two different color patterns). It’s longest in the back, shorter in the front, and even shorter on the sides. When I walk I feel like an ice skater as the front and back flow side-to-side. It’s a great balance of not showing too much skin. There’s a high neckline so that you can get away with showing a bit more leg with the hi-lo hemline.
I decided to pair this sweet dress with a sweet necklace and a sweet updo by The Confessions of a Hairstylist. The necklace is The Rebecca from Kendra Scott. Its clear opal stone gives off the right amount of sparkle without competing against the pattern of the dress. As you might remember, the hairstyle was featured in a previous blog post, here.
I had a lot of “sweet” elements going on, so I had to counteract all of this sweetness with my chunky black platform wedges from Target. I love the hardness that it adds to the look and incorporates a peek of another print.
