I have a confession to make. There have been a handful of times when I went to a workout class, but instead spent my time shopping instead of working out. I’m not proud of it, but when there’s a good sale or new product in the store that you can’t pass up, you have to surrender yourself to the process. Also, I should know better then to try to workout after work. I am a morning workout person because I know that if I set an alarm I will be at the studio on time. Whereas after work I have no idea what time I might leave or what traffic will be like. A couple of these instances I knew I was going to arrive too late for class, but remembered seeing a red sports bra that caught my eye, so I decided to still go in and take my time browsing. I’ve even made special trips to the workout studio for something specific like a Mantra Band for a friend’s birthday present because I knew they didn’t carry the specific one at Nordstrom. One time I was dressed up to go to my birthday dinner with Aaron and since it was on the way, he stayed in the car while I ran in and shopped a little.

Barre3 in North Scottsdale and Paradise Valley have the best collections of fashionable and functionable workout wear, as well as cute and meaningful jewelry. Headbands, hair ties, water bottles and sticky socks are among some of the other items you’ll find there. The owner, Karie Johnson, finds the best brands, products and styles to showcase at her boutiques, so much so that she has one of the top (if not the top) boutiques out of all Barre3 studios! She purchases everything in a small quantity so only a few of the same items will be walking around town; which means that her offerings are more unique! The outfit I am wearing in these photos is from Barre3. The pants are Brazil Wear and the top is Spiritual Gangster. I am obsessed with the print of the pants, and how comfortable and soft they are. The tank is something that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I love what Spiritual Gangster stands for, the fabric they use, the flattering cuts/styles that they create and the fun messages on their clothes. They also donate proceeds to provide a meal to a person in need for every item they sell. I never brought myself to purchase a Spiritual Gangster top because it is on the pricey side, however if you are a Barre3 member you get special Barre3 pricing! For example, online at Brazil Wear the leggings are $79, but in the store they are only $73 and for members they’re a steal at $62.05. For the tank top, online at Spiritual Gangster it is $50, but at Barre3 it’s only $43 and for members it’s $36.55.

That means for Barre3 members you could receive 27% off retail prices!! The workout membership not only gives you great workout classes, but also a discount to all of your workout clothes, “supplies/equipment”, jewelry, and also casual clothes as well. 

Might as well shop where you workout! Now you know why I enjoy shopping during the workout class 😉 Plus, everyone else is working out so I have the whole boutique to myself! I’m definitely one who likes to try things on before I purchase and I hate to feel rushed. The Barre3 in North Scottsdale has changing rooms to make it super convenient and at Paradise Valley the two bathrooms are very spacious for trying on too. Word of advice, if you see something you like – don’t wait! I promise it will be gone before the next time you workout. I’ve made that mistake too many times.
