There’s something so refreshing about summer fashion. It might be the ease and comfortableness or possibly the ability to leave the house in shorts and a casual tee without feeling under dressed. Whatever it is, it makes the super hot AZ weather seem worth it.
Usually during the summer I am craving bright colors, but this summer I’ve been gravitating towards neutrals and solids. I’m here to tell you that wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts is ok! Look for shorts with extra texture like the lace shorts that I’m wearing here from Nordstrom Rack. The t-shirt is a staple from Victoria’s Secret. However, VS switches up the fit of their basic tees every now and again, so if you fall in love be sure to purchase it in multiple colors or multiple shirts in the colors that you most frequently wear, like white and black.
Adding a unique piece of jewelry really stands out against a neutral-based outfit. The semi-choker that I’m wearing is my Russian Great Aunt Nadia’s. I have a matching bracelet as well. The slip on shoes are great for summer because you can slip them on and off, plus the perforated material make them breathable. They’re DV brand from Target, which finds less expensive ways to create your favorite Dolce Vita shoe styles.
Lastly, you cannot go wrong with a classic black saddle bag. Mine is vintage from Coach. It has a flap over a main compartment with two smaller pockets inside and one of the exterior. I don’t know what I would do without this purse. It’s so easy to run out the door carrying just the purse and thankfully it fits all of the necessities; your wallet, sunglasses, phone, lipstick and car keys.
