Summer is slowly coming to an end, but living in Arizona I really don’t have to say goodbye to ice cream, shorts or shades. I might not eat as much ice cream (which is actually a good thing!) or wear shorts as often, but a break from the powerful summer sun will be welcomed.
During this shoot, my friend Nikki Fanshaw, who is also the photographer, and I took a stroll around Roosevelt and I knew I had to try Melt. It had been on my list for a while, so I’m glad that the photoshoot ended with a delicious treat. I had to get the rainbow sprinkles that match my floral Splendid shorts. I scored with these at Nordstrom Rack during a winter sale. I couldn’t imagine wearing shorts at that time of the year, but I knew I had to snag them then and there. They have been a staple for the past couple summers.
I don’t typically wear collared shirts. Sometimes I feel that it distracts from my jewelry or is too stiff in the shoulders. However, this top is perfect because it’s a tank and cuts in a little in the back around the shoulders for comfort. It gives a casual vibe being chambray, and in the back their is a slit at the bottom so that the top has movement. Target has some of the best chambray tops; they are so soft and comfortable.
Lastly, I finished this look off with some casual and traditional white low top converse. They match everything and are comfortable to wear all day! I love the street wear vibe they give off. Perfect for those transitional summer months that are moving into fall. My black Coach saddlebag is a great addition to this look along with being able to carry everything I need.
