I love the ease and comfortableness of today’s look. One of my favorite combinations in the winter is leggings and a long sweater. Today’s sweater is a grey and black, snake skin printed BCBG sweater in a dolman shape, which means that it’s looser around the shoulders and waist, but it tighter at the wrists and tapered at the bottom. The leggings I’m wearing are also from BCBG. If you haven’t purchased textured leggings before, try them on to give your look a fun accent. BCBG has a lot of great options with hits of faux leather or even try Kohl’s for something less expensive, but just as fun. Kohl’s has a lot of printed leggings in different colors. (I got this tip about Kohl’s leggings from my friend Stacy who was wearing an adorable pair last week.)
To complement the comfortable look of a sweater and leggings, I opted for my favorite Lucky Brand riding boots. I’ve received more compliments on these boots over the years and I got them at the end of the season on major discount from Dillard’s. I just repaired these boots for the first time in over 4 years! The day that these boots are no longer wearable will be a sad sad day. The best thing about riding boots from a good manufacturer is that they stay in style for a while and they are made to last. Next time you decide to buy a pair and you’re trying to figure out if those Frye boots are worth the price, examine the style and ask yourself if they are more fashion or an everyday look? Will they still be in style next year? What can I wear them with and how often can I wear them? I think you’ll find that the price per wear is definitely worth it!
