Last night, I went to the What Matters Charity Fashion Show to support Claire Planeta and her foundation where she is helping “women look great, feel great, and make steps to get back on their feet.” The idea came to her as she was trying to figure out what to do with the clothes and beauty products she received from being a fashion and lifestyle blogger for many years. She took these items to local shelters to help woman prepare before attending job interviews. Since April 2016, she has hosted an event where she set up free make-overs for domestic abuse woman and homeless woman back in July, and the fashion show last night. She featured real woman on the runway and the emcee spoke about why they are giving back and what makes them exceptional woman as they walked and showed off the latest bohemian styles. Some of these woman included athletes, photographers, influencers, bloggers, moms, and a reality TV star from E!’s Total Divas. The event was held at the Ice House in downtown Phoenix and had pop-up boutiques, food trucks, a silent auction, an art gallery and the runway show. It was such a beautiful event and was incredible to see a community come together to support a common goal. Thank you, Claire, for creating something so inspiring!
