I have been wanting to try Club Pilates since it opened a few months ago. I connected with the Manager Mariah, but wasn’t able to make it work with my schedule. You can imagine how excited I was when Gloria reached out to me to invite me to a blogger preview event to try out a class.

I’ve done group fitness Pilates classes since High School and I love how they challenge my core and use a different level of strength than what your typical free-weights routine might provide. Growing up in sports and dance, I’ve always appreciated the exercises that stretch and lengthen as well as build strength, and this exercise does exactly that.

It was a few years ago that I finally tried a Reformer Pilates bed and it makes such a difference. It allows you to be much more comfortable than on the hard wood floor with a slippery mat. Also, it includes many more tools to target those muscle groups and give you the best work out. Since each student needs a bed to work with, it limits the class size and allows you to have a more intimate session with the instructor to allow for adjustments if you need them. I always find a way to do an exercise wrong, so having an educated instructor there to give you tips and correct your position is a must for me!

If you’re considering trying Pilates, but aren’t sure if you want to commit just yet, go to the Scottsdale Promenade location for a free demo class. Mariah can provide you with an explanation of the workout, what to expect during class and tell you about the different class offerings so that you can make a well informed decision. If you go, please let me know what you think in the comments section below!

Grabbagreen is one of my favorite fast health food restaurants in the Valley. It was the perfect treat to have these fresh juices after our pilates class. I am the type of person who has to try everything, so I set up little taste testers for us bloggers and found out that I like all of them! I like some more than others and I have to say that my favorite juice was Gingery and Power. I didn’t think I was going to like Love because sometimes beets can be overpowering, but they really weren’t in this drink. Also, Watermelon Chia has a different texture than you’re used to, but if you can get past the chia seeds, then it is really refreshing. Typically when I go to Grabbagreen, I’m going for a meal and I always get the Goji Go Go smoothie because I love cinnamon and sometimes I’ll get a Peanut Butter Protein bar because it is so delicious! There are 6 locations in the Valley, but the one that we went to this day is on Scottsdale Road and Bell Road. I linked a map below!

Club Pilates is so much fun. Its much more than reformer pilates. And Mariah is just the sweetest. So glad you had fun!

  3. I love this place! You guys made it look so easy! And I can’t wait to get my hands on those juices! 🙂

  4. I’ve tried a lot of different fitness things – boot camp, bikram yoga, barre, etc. – but I’ve actually never tried pilates! It sounds pretty killer.

  5. I love group fitness! I always go to a couple of classes when I’m learning new moves so I can be corrected if I need to be! It’s also so, so fun! It looked like a good time. I just wish I had one close to where I live!

  6. This was such a fun class! I seriously love Pilates and totally agree that the reformer makes a world of a difference.
    Truly,
