IMG_2736Yay! I’m so excited to throw it back to last May at the last Pineapple Triangle market, AZ Share That You Care, and the reason I’m so super excited is because this market is happening again this Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at Warehouse215 @ Bentley Projects. If you’re not familiar with this market, let me break it down for you…

Pineapple Triangle was founded in 2014 by Magdelyn McGrath based on her love for supporting local artists and giving back to the community. Now there is a team of five bad-ass ladies who come together to bring you a market in downtown Phoenix called AZ Share That You Care. This market bridges the gap between amazing local artists and the AZ community while also donating a portion of the proceeds to charity.

I first found out about this organization and market through my friend Nikki Meier, who is a creative genius. We used to work together and everyday I’d be eyeing her jewelry, clothes, etc. Her response would always be, “it’s from a local artist.” So finally it was time for the AZ Share That You Care market last May. I brought a friend who was in town from California and another friend who is local. We were so excited by the unique things we saw. Court got a lovely bracelet from Mer-Made Jewelry, see Instagram post above. I got two rings from Timeless Buttons, one was a 1940’s re-purposed clip-on earring and the other was a vintage clear button (see Instagram post below), and a MAME soy candle that is constantly lit in my office, thankfully my co-workers love it too. I also connected with The Dog Party and was able to purchase a shirt after the market.

The Pineapple Triangle team works really hard to make the event extra special. They find 60+ local artists and vendors from all over the Valley to come together and support one another. Plus it makes it super easy for us to shop, since they’re all in one place. They also bring food trucks, specialty drink vendors and live music so that there’s something there for everyone to enjoy. Did I mention that there’s free parking? But, my favorite thing about the market other than that we’re supporting local artists and giving back, is that everything you see is 100% unique! I haven’t seen anything like it before and you can only get it here. As these local artists get more and more popular, you can say “oh I met him/her at AZ Share That You Care and I absolutely love their jewelry/clothes/candles/artwork/etc.”
