Gift Giving | ARAE Winter Collection

Hello Friends! I’m so excited that the holidays are here. I can’t stop thinking about pumpkin pie and hot cocoa. Even Arizona is getting into the spirit with giving us a brisk cool breeze, so that we can bundle up in our hats and scarves like the rest of the world. Once Thanksgiving hits, the gift-giving season is in full swing and my calendar is full with secret Santa, white elephant and every other type of gift exchange parties that you can think of.

My favorite gift exchange has always been the type where you can steal gifts from each other. It gives you a chance to get what you really want and see which one of your best friends actually cares more about material things than your feelings (it’s usually Jessica – just kidding Jess, love you!) Seriously though, all is fair in love and gift exchanges. I started at a very young age with my mom and her Bunco friends where they would only exchange ornaments. That is where I got my beloved pickle ornament. Last year my friends started a new tradition of only exchanging necklaces. Another popular exchange is where you only exchange scarves or “winter accessories.”
