In Sunday’s blog post (read it here), I mentioned that The Foxy Kat is teaming up with Hues of Ego to reveal three holiday party looks with a twist. Usually when I think of Holiday Party Looks, I imagine myself wearing a dress. This week I am exploring the alternative to a dress for this holiday party season. (All looks captured by Nissania Trujillo at nissaniatrujillo.com)

This first look is the Corey pant. It’s a gorgeous high waisted palazzo pant with a sexy full lace leg. My favorite detail is the structured cummerbund element on the waistband that gives a men’s wear feel against the flirty lace pant. The lined fabric is so soft and the side seam zipper allows them to fit like a glove. The best part is the comfort of the Corey pant. I could dance in these all night, but I wouldn’t have to sacrifice feeling glamorous or getting dressed up for the party! I love how effortless and versatile the pant is. After the holiday party I can continue to dress it up with jewels and sequined tops for a night out or a rehearsal dinner. Another option would be to dress them for work with a blazer or a button down. My favorite looks would be to add a sweater for a contrasting texture or tie up a denim shirt and add some sandals for a summery boho chic feel. (Click here for purchasing information)

Complimenting the Corey pant is a sequined black crop top that I got on clearance from Urban Outfitters ($10) made by Pins and Needles. I decided to pair the Corey pant with my Jimmy Choo silver peep toe weddings shoes in style Isabel. These shoes were found at Last Chance in near mint condition for a sixth of the retail cost! I love the sparkle of the champagne glitter fabric underneath the lace fabric. It adds just enough shine to compliment my jewels. The jewelry that I chose are J Crew crystal earrings that were purchased for my Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed bridal shower last year and a flower designed Swarovski crystal bangle by Azaara Vintage Designs. I actually purchased the bracelet for my wedding day, but ended up choosing a more delicate bracelet for the big day. The earrings and bangle now work perfectly for holiday parties and weddings! (Click here for the bracelet’s purchase information) The last two items shown are a faux fur cheetah jacket from Forever 21 purchased a couple winters ago and a vintage purse purchased from a designer market in SoHo, NYC. I don’t wear my cheetah jacket too often, but when I do I love bringing it out for special occasions like a holiday party. Its fun, edgy and keeps you warm!
