I’ve always had the hardest time finding a romper, jumpsuit, bodysuit… really anything that is one-piece to fit me! I have a short torso and long legs, so usually the mid-section would hit me too low and the pants would hit me too high. Thankfully I never gave up! I saw this jumpsuit at Anthropologie and thought it probably won’t fit, but I might as well try. It’s almost like these giant Hawaiian looking florals and I are made for each other! How can you not be happy when looking at this print?! I do feel as though the pants are a little short, but I have a low heeled gold sandal that works perfectly.
Just in case you have trouble with jumpsuits too, I hand selected a few of my favorite styles and prints to make a statement. I just love how this jumpsuit has the ruffles on the side to frame the top, the solid colored waist band to break up the pattern while drawing the midline in, and of course pockets because who doesn’t love pockets!
As for the jewelry, I wanted to keep it super simple as not to compete with the print, but still cool and modern. The earrings, ring and necklace are all such hassle-free jewelry items that still make a statement. Similarly with the makeup, we focused on neutrals for a clean and polished look that didn’t feel like I was overdoing it with such a loud print. Lastly, I am obsessed with these Game of Thrones style braids! From the front, the hairstyle gives the appearance that my hair is half up and half down. When you see the back of my head, you realize that it’s actually two rope braids on either side that are actually then rope-braided together. (mind blown!) Such a simple idea, but looks so intricate and professionally done! It’s such a fun spring and summer hair style!
