I finished my third treatment of Microcurrent at Skinapeel Beauty on Saturday, February 18th, 2017. I discussed Microcurrent briefly in a previous blog post (here), but mostly I talked about my reasons for wanting Microcurrent and what my skincare goals are. Today, I want to show you my results up to this point because I just finished my initial treatments and am moving into the upkeep stages. As I am looking through my photos I noticed that while I had one skincare goal, Microcurrent is helping in other ways that I didn’t even realize it would.

Since everyone is different, the treatments vary. Typically there are a set number of initial treatments based on what your skin needs. Based on age, you can get a general idea of how many initial treatments you might need. For me, I did once a week for three weeks in a row (which I’m highlighting here), then I’ll go once every two weeks for upkeep and eventually I will only get Microcurrent when I get my monthly facials or maybe I’ll do spot treatments.

Microcurrent is a form of electrical massage that allows your face to attain better health naturally. This non-invasive, holistic modality is closest to the body’s own healing state, promoting homeostasis through rebalancing of ionic transport in the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous layers of the skin. TAMA’s unique Multi-Mode Waveform stimulation provides simultaneous muscle toning and re-education, thus providing both short- and long-term benefits without inflammation.

For the first three weeks, Kimberly used TAMA Blue Onyx which is the Electromagnetic Stainless Steele Probes. The TAMA Blue Onyx technology is like no other Microcurrent. It delivers low and high frequencies simultaneously with TAMA’s patented MetaWave technology. This ensures fast, sustainable results for all skin types by increasing cellular energy, muscle response and collagen and elastin to firm, smooth and lift. The treatment also includes a tablet on which client’s profiles and progress can be tracked. Electromagnetic probes are used to address concerns with lines, sagging skin, lines around lip and eye area, inflammation, loss of muscle tone and lift, pigment, and much more.

In my last post, I showed you the before and after photos which highlighted the added collagen in my cheeks, the firmness and smoothness in my forehead and the lift on my neck, eyebrows and just below my cheeks too. While all of those things are continuing to happen, pay close attention to my photos from Week 3. Something else happened, and you can see that my acne is clearing up, Microcurrent is calming my rosacea, while also improving skin pigmentation and tightening large pores. All in all, I’m getting smoother and firmer skin! The other crazy thing to note, is that the results from the day after the treatment are outstanding. Kimberly explained to me that although it is possible to notice results right after a treatment, sometimes it’s even more noticeable the day after the treatment because the treatment might cause slight inflammation or in my case the acne was brighter after the treatment. Also, during this time frame I am solely using Rhonda Allison products (more on this later, but for now check out this blog post here) and I only had a facial during week 1. My next facial won’t be till the fourth treatment since I’m doing monthly facials.
