I’m spinning for joy for this outfit! As the days are getting warmer, I’m loving the boots and bare leg look. A long sleeve top or a light sweater is perfect as the weather gets a little cooler into the evening, but a mini-skirt or a dress keeps the outfit from looking too winter-y. I’m a huge fan of black on black, especially when a design or a piece of jewelry is incorporated. Here I’m wearing the “tattoo” top by Diane Von Furstenberg with a snake patterned leather mini skirt by Mason and a gold tassel necklace by Kendra Scott. The necklace is actually a long cord and it can be tied in different types of knots, left open or wrapped around your neck. It’s also a great layering piece. A pop of color on your lip or on your eye is a great way to add color to a black-on-black look.
Tremaine Ranch is the location for this photo shoot and the blog series of “short-skirts and long-sleeves.” It is such a special place. There are so many areas throughout the property that I fell in love with. In the Thakoon Addition Look #1 blog post, Yvette from Yvee Bee Photography and I found a cart with a succulent garden, a gorgeous wood wall with a bench and a green house packed with vegetation. In this blog post, we traveled to the opposite side of the ranch and found a lawn with strung lights, a tree filled with wind chimes and next to that is a full garden. It was so much fun to explore during our photo shoot and imagine what events could take place here.
I met Leah and Matt Theodosis, owners of the property, at the Pineapple Triangle Share That You Care market last October. I purchased a couple side tables from them and discussed having them make a custom coffee table and kitchen bar cart as well. After visiting the website and looking through the photos, I thought it would be a great place for a very scenic focused photo shoot. Leah and Matt mentioned that they were married at the property and made a lot of the decorations and furniture for their wedding. Since then, they have rented the space and the furniture for weddings, dinner parties, music videos, fashion events, beauty/hair photo shoots, etc. If you’re needing a venue for your wedding or for an event and you enjoy Arizona’s gorgeous weather and greenery, then you should definitely reach out to Leah and Matt. Or if you’re looking for custom hand-made furniture or rentals, then you should reach out to them as well.
