I had a blast celebrating Jenny Strebe at her book launch this past weekend. The Confessions of a Hairstylist vlogger created a book filled with fun and easy hair tutorials that you (or I…gasp!) can do at home. There are 100 different styles from updo’s to side braids to waves to ponytails and so much more. In addition to the tutorials, my favorite part is chapter 6, which talks about Problems & Solutions. If you’re like me and you feel a little challenged with doing your own hair at home, she’s got you covered in the Dos & Don’ts section. Plus the Natural Remedies section is amazing. Who knew that there is a reason to bring a beer to the shower, other than to get the pre-party started – oh to be young again! The beer trick solves for flat limp hair. Make sure to use it at room temperature and pour over your hair after you shampoo. Omit the conditioner and there you have it – voluminous lifted locks! More info about 100 Perfect Hair Days below…
In talking about the book launch, I thought it would be fun to bring back the Curly Faux Hawk Hair tutorial. If you also follow Jenny on social media, then you saw the photos and video from last November. If you missed it, then continue on my friends! It’s amazing what Jenny does with my angled bob.
I felt so cool with my hair like this! It’s the perfect style for when you’re wanting to add some excitement to your look and change things up. For me, I hardly where my hair all up and it was so nice to have it out of my face and off my neck while still looking made-up, rather than the typical ponytail that I would usually do if I wanted to wear my hair up. I love the edgy appeal it has, while still having soft beautiful curls on top.
