IMG_3868 IMG_3870I used to be obsessed with liquid eyeliner in my high school and college days. It’s almost like I forgot about it in my twenty’s. For about five or more years I’ve been using the eyeliner pot from either Bobbi Brown or MAC. It’s a small pot that is the size of a quarter and is filled with a liquid eyeliner in a puddy consistency. With the eyeliner pot, you also use an angled eyeliner brush to apply it. I love this type of eyeliner, but in my thirties I’m going to bring back the liquid eyeliner to mix it up every once in a while.

IMG_3871 IMG_3875I subscribe to IPSY, which is a monthly service that sends you a variety of make-up samples, which are oftentimes full size makeup that you would buy at the store. Each IPSY bag comes with about 4-5 different items, whether its make-up, make-up tools, product for your face like cleanser and lotions, or different items for your nails and hair. You’re able to fill out a profile customized to what you want, so if you don’t want nail care you don’t have to receive it. The reason I’m telling you this is because my IPSY bag sent me the Starlooks Pro liquid eyeliner and reminded me how much fun felt tip eyeliner is to apply.

You’ll notice in the two photos above, I used the eyeliner with a very thin line, which I often do for work. The two photos above that it is a bit thicker for a night out. The great thing about a felt tip liquid eyeliner pen is that you actually hold it like a pen and it goes on almost like you are using a marker on your eyelid. It allows you more control over creating a cat eye since the tip is very thin and the base is thicker. I prefer felt tip eyeliners as opposed to the super thin brushes that some liquid eyeliners come with. For me it’s easier to use these because I have more control. If you haven’t tried this type of eye liner – I recommend giving it a try and mixing up the eyeliners that you use on a daily basis.
