I’ve been a huge fan of NARS Cosmetics since 2006 when I first discovered the NARS Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer duo. I absolutely loved the gold shimmer that the Orgasm blush gives off while the Laguna bronzer leaves a perfect summer glow. From there I played around with my look, trying out different hair colors and discovering pink hues. I fell in love with the NARS semi-matte lipstick in Funny Face, which is a fuchsia color. I tried other cosmetic brands for blushes and bronzers (some of which I really liked), but I ended up going back to NARS to try their blush in Desire. Desire is very close to a hot pink color. After testing this out against my pale/pink skin, I realized that brighter colors tend to look better on me for my complexion. I still like to mix in a bronzer without shimmer so that it gives my face some definition and color. Click here for an Instagram post of me wearing NARS Desire Blush.

I was itching to slightly change my look at the end of 2014. I went to a Sephora customer appreciation party with my friend, Marcy, and found a couple blush sets that would allow for me to have three or four different colors in one compact. It seemed like a great purchase, but as soon as I walked over to the NARS make-up counter I knew that I couldn’t resist it. I found Exhibit A blush color. It is the same brightness in color that I liked from Desire, but its a deeper color with more orange and red in it than pink. I’m in love! Even though we’re still in winter, I think this will be the perfect spring and summer color. If I mix it properly with my bronzer then it can also be used year round in fall and winter too. I know a lot of women choose to have different blush colors for different occasions, but not me. I prefer to have my go-to blush while I change up my eye and lip colors. Although it’s “just blush” – it makes such a difference!

Here are some images of the new blush in action as well as an Instagram post from my husband’s birthday party (blog post here):
