Start this Friday off with a classic summer white-on-grey #OOTD…

Read on for how to style and where to buy.

photoSometimes I just want a simple, comfortable outfit to wear all day at work. Most people who work in an office have casual Fridays. Well, everyday is casual Friday at my place of work. Plus the summer heat is challenging when planning the proper fabrics to keep you cool all day, but not freezing inside. Additional looks are below. Click on the photos to go to the purchasing page.

The featured blouse is from Madewell, it’s 100% silk and slightly flowy without loosing shape. You can choose to button it all the way up for a more conservative look and wear a short necklace under the collar or you can leave it unbuttoned and leave a peak of your camisole showing (Tip: make sure you tuck the camisole into your jeans to keep your look polished). To transition this to night, wear a full coverage nude bra without the camisole to keep people guessing (side-note: you’ll want to make sure that the neckline isn’t revealing too much, so perhaps only leave the top two buttons undone). Some other styles from Madewell are featured to the left.

My favorite jeans this summer, also featured here, are Joe’s Jeans in grey denim. I found these on pre-sale this summer at Macy’s. Like I mentioned before, they are light, but not white and the fading is super flattering. I prefer high-waisted skinnies to complement my apple shape and long legs. The best part about these is you can wear them straight for a clean look or give them a messy roll to complement the summer laid back style. If you choose to dress more professional for the office and tuck in your shirt, you can always wear a colored belt to break up the outfit with a pop of color.

Sometimes the most important pieces of the outfit is the accessories. I purchased these Kate Spade, red animal print, sling back sandals on sale at Bloomingdales about five years ago. I found that the leather sole used in designer shoes really hold up and make your investment worth it. Take a look at the additional styles I found. Some of them are on clearance for the end of the season at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Click on the pictures to go to the purchasing page.

I love my Kendra Scott earrings! I’m not going to discuss these too much as I’ll be featuring Kendra Scott in this weekend’s blog post. Remember, it’s ok to not wear matchy-matchy earrings and shoes. As you can see mine are two different colors, but they complement each other. And I never forget my Marc Jacobs watch (featured here) when wearing gold!
