FoxyKat-12This is the best time of year in Arizona. It warm enough to put your windows down as you drive home from work and cool enough to wear a light sweater on your way into work. This time of year is the ‘no-jacket needed’ season as I like to call it. I’m sorry for those of you on the east coast who are still dealing with snow, but you can still implement these outfit ideas under your coat. The common theme here is layers.

FoxyKat-5Layer a tank top or tee under your light sweater and a scarf on top. The sweater featured here is one of my favorites. I love the color blocking and the fact that it’s not too heavy, especially since the weather man says that Arizona will hit highs in the 90’s this week and next. I’m still not ready for sandals, shorts or tank tops, so closed toe shoes and jeans will have to do for at least another week or so. The tip for finding great sweaters is shopping after the season ends. I actually found this Joie sweater at Nordstrom Rack for 75% off the original price in San Francisco in June. The scarf is another all time favorite. It’s made by Diesel and it matches everything. I love that it’s not a solid color, but rather a print with a couple varying greys. I found this at The Hub during their winter sale a few years back.

FoxyKat-4 FoxyKat-15Lastly, but most importantly, are my accessories. I’ve mentioned the purse before. It’s a vintage Coach saddlebag, but I want to mention it again since Saddlebags are one of the bags of the season. I lucked out at Buffalo Exchange and found this for $30 with hardly any visible wear. Plus it fits all of my necessities. The watch is my very first Michele watch, which I have been wanting for years. I’ve never been able to make the investment in a designer timepiece, but I haven’t been able to take it off since my husband surprised me with this at Christmas. I actually tend to wear more gold, but since Aaron gave me a gold Marc Jacobs watch for my wedding gift I wanted my next watch to be silver. I found a company called Mirina Collections that has a lot of great silver necklace, which they call their ‘famous necklaces.’ I love how different they are from the typical necklace that I usually see. Plus the amount of details in each necklace is amazing. To receive 20% off your own necklace, please use my code: KATRINAXO.
