With Phoenix Fashion Week 2016 right around the corner (about a month away), I would like to reflect on a fashion show from 2014 that was before its time. Rocky Gathercole, the fashion designer who represents the collection below, will be back on the Phoenix Fashion Week runway at Talking Stick Resort on Saturday, October 15th, and I couldn’t be more excited! This will be my third time seeing his innovative, thought provoking, and surreal designs. I still remember the exact moment when the first look came down the runway in 2014, which is the first image below. She was fierce, she set the stage for the rest of the show, and most importantly she is who I remember two years later.
One of my favorite things about the 2014 collection are the black and white looks. They are very classy and yet still very eclectic and fashion forward. Rocky’s sense of style and his voice as a designer continued into 2015 and brought more black and white pieces that I love. For the gallery of the 2015 show, click here.
If you’re not familiar with Rocky Gathercole, he has designed pieces for many celebrities and artists that you do know, like Carrie Underwood, Gwen Stefani, and Britney Spears.
