I’ve recently become more and more obsessed with watches. I’ve always appreciated watches as a fashion piece, and often times I don’t even realize when my battery dies. Out of habit I check my phone when I’m wondering what time it is, but lately I’m beginning to rely on having a watch on my left wrist. It comes in handy when you’re in a meeting or if you’re running late somewhere and don’t want to dig into your purse for your phone to find out the time. My one rule for wearing a watch, besides being aesthetically pleasing, is that it has to be comfortable. I suffer from having an in between wrist size. When I have metal linked watch bands it’s either too tight on one setting or too loose on the next one. Typically, I’ll go to the store to have my watch sized, try it on and realize that it’s not comfortable and ask that they size it back. I feel so bad when this happens because sizing those kind of watches takes for-ev-er. Luckily with my watch from Vandy, it’s a leather band and I’m able to size it accordingly. The 18 mm 100% Genuine Leather band is super comfortable and conforming on my wrist. It’s not too tight and it’s not too loose.
The other thing that I love about this watch is the classic black and rose gold coloring. I love how the rose gold stands out on the black face. It matches most of my wardrobe and a lot of the jewelry that I already have. This is totally a personal preference, but I really like the dashes instead of numbers. It’s a very clean and modern look as opposed to numbering the watch. All watches are very reasonably priced on their website. This watch face is 36 MM, which is a probably the smallest watch that I own and perfect for wearing with an outfit that is on the dressy side. The watch is great with casual wear too, but I find that larger watches tend to give off more of a casual vibe, whereas dantier watches are more for evening wear. If the black is too much for you, they also have this watch in a delicate brown and white combination with rose gold. I really like the black and gold men’s watch that is a size 42 MM. It is sophisticated yet fun. I love larger watches, so this would be a perfect daytime piece for me to wear.
