I am happy to finally share with you the designs from my favorite show of the night. Yen, is one of the established designers that showed a collection at Phoenix Fashion Week. He showed the perfect combination of class and sex appeal in each of his designs. Ten feet away from the runway I could still see the intricate details of each garment perfectly.

Some of the signature details that I loved in Yen’s collection was the low back. I loved the way he played with the different low back details, whether it was a v-shape or the full back exposed as well as balancing the look with a high neckline. Whether or not the dress was full length, cocktail, mermaid, a-line, with a train or with a slit, he made the varying elements tell the story that he was going for.

I didn’t necessarily picture the dresses on the same girl, which is good for providing different looks to people with different preferences and varying body types. However, I did picture the dresses on girls that would all hang out together or be at a similar function. The colorful dresses with the unique patterns, applique and beading appears to be dresses worn at evening events like gala’s, red carpet events, etc.

Then it appeared that Yen also created a separate grouping of dresses in white for a bride who is confident, fashion forward and likes to stand out in a crowd. Whether these dresses are for the actual wedding or a bridal-wedding event, I think they are stylish, classy and sexy – three things that every woman (especially a bride) wants to be!

Thank you, Yen for sharing your talents. I’m so happy that I’ve had the chance to see your designs in person. Until next time…
