Sometimes it’s way more fun to workout with a friend! There are times at BODI where we’ll have a partner exercise for one of our circuits. This is one of my favorite ones, jump squats. As you can see here, you start in a low squat position and then jump up and high-five your partner. I didn’t realize how much fun I was having until I saw the photos 🙂 I have found that this particular exercise is sometimes easier to do when your partner is around the same height as you or partner up with someone taller than you if you want the extra motivation.
I thought it was only fitting to pay homage to Dakota Johnson in her role of Anastasia Steele in 50 Shades Darker. The movie came out exactly a week ago. My girlfriends and I saw it last Saturday and Dakota Johnson looked amazing! I saw this quote from her on-set trainer Ramona Braganza in a POPSUGAR article saying, “These jumping exercises increase metabolism, burn fat, and tone legs.” So, be sure to grab a friend and practice these jump squats at home or at the gym!
