Haute Body is one of my all time favorite activewear brands and was one of my favorite runway shows from PHXFW 2015. During the past runway show I decided to reminisce on the unique designs and craftsmanship that Haute Body stands for. In the post today, I am wearing a white Off Sides Tank and grey Seamed Right Leggings that are both currently available for purchase on her website in multiple colors but only a couple left of the Off Sides Tank. My hair was done by Gossamer Salon and my makeup by The Sparkle Bar. The sports bra is from Lululemon and the sunglass are from Quay Australia. Discount details for Gossamer Salon, The Sparkle Bar and Haute Body are at the bottom of this post.
The tank top is made with the softest fabric I’ve ever felt. Raquel is not kidding when she says on her website that it is made with “THE SOFTEST RAYON BAMBOO EVER.” And, she adds hits of mesh, which I like for breathability as I’m working out, but to be honest it just looks cool too. The tank has a high neckline with loose armholes to make it super comfortable to work out in, but also cute if you want to wear it out and about.
The cropped leggings are on the longer side, which I love! They go past your knees, which helps for when you’re doing “girly push-ups” and you don’t have access to a mat. They are also constructed in a way where the seams are added in the most flattering places. I don’t have a photo here, but you can see in my Extreme Transformation Recap post earlier this week that the sweetheart seam is super flattering on your backside. The waistband is mid-rise, so I find that it gives great support and helps to keep things “held in.” Also, I love the piece of sparkle fabric on the sides to give you a little somethin’ somethin’.
I checked in with Raquel to hear how the past year has been since Haute Body debuted at Phoenix Fashion Week 2015. Haute Body is still a relatively new brand in the athleisure market and already within the past year it is sold on revolve.com, asos.com, their own website, and stores in Hollywood, New York, New Jersey, Florida and Indiana. To say Haute Body has been extremely busy is an understatement. They’ve been busy with fulfilling all accounts, regardless of whether they are big or small. Looking back at the PHXFW experience, Raquel said that the most valueable lesson she learned was to “know when to shut up, when to speak up, and to always follow up.” In asking what doors have opened from PHXFW, Raquel said that although she can’t think of any doors that were necessarily opened, she did say that she “wouldn’t have known how to pick the lock without the PHXFW boot camp.”
The coolest thing about catching up with Raquel was hearing all about her goals and what’s to come in the next coming year. She has a lot on her plate, a lot to look forward to and many goals to accomplish, but her number one focus would be hiring a full-time employee. Having that employee would require a lot to be able to afford a salary in the budget. Plus, she is in discussion with another studio franchise to create private label offerings. Focusing on Haute Body’s core customers and studios as the company grows is very important to Raquel. If you’re in California, you’ll have the opportunity to see more product in hand, but the potential for growth is huge regardless of location especially with the booming e-commerce industry. I’m so happy to see the success of the Haute Body brand! I love the product that Haute Body makes and I hope you do too.
