I met Coley Kuyper for the first time at the last Pineapple Triangle Share That You Care market. She was the first booth I came to and I found the most adorable fox thank you cards. I had to buy a couple! I could not believe that she actually creates all of her artwork by hand. All that you see is conceptualized and transferred from Coley’s brain to paper, or in some cases chalkboard. She has the art copied and reprinted to cards and on larger prints. She even frames all of her chalkboard art and hand writes on the chalkboards instead of using stencils. Since everything is hand drawn and is not art found online, each piece is unique to Coley Kuyper Art.
I knew that people like Coley existed, but I had not met someone with that amount of raw talent before. One thing that I wish I knew how to do is to drawn, so I was in awe meeting her, since it is something that is very difficult for me to do well. Also, she does logo design, can make larger custom chalkboards and has some gorgeous hand drawn pictures that would look great in a babies room or at a baby shower. Sarah Madeline Jewelry will be at the upcoming market, so be sure to stop by to take a peek and say hi! She finds her inspiration from vintage jewelry. When she sees something special and unique, she tries to recreate it. She uses a lot of flowers, Arizona state themes like state charms, and raw jewels and stones. Her pieces are very feminine, delicate and colorful. I love the pieces that are more geometric and structural, which are mainly the gold necklaces. Also, she has a necklace with several raw pendants that are tiered with the longest pendant in the middle. I love this piece. Something about the symmetry and raw stones gives it a very special feel!
