Over four years ago, my sister-in-law Casey Fox introduced me to Erica Mendoza when I was looking for someone to do my makeup for my wedding. Not only did she do my makeup for that very special day and my three Maid of Honors makeup, but she also did my make-up for my boudoir shoot and my make-up for the GoDaddy Holiday Party in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. I think it’s safe to say that I love how Erica does makeup, and not only on me, but also on herself and all of her clients.

I can’t believe it’s been four years in a row that I’ve had the pleasure of being made-up by Erica for the GoDaddy Holiday Party! Each year has been a little different from the next. In 2013, I opted for a dark purple lip with a winged eyeliner (photo here.) The next year I went for a bright pink lip to coordinate with my total look (photo here), and in 2014 the focus was back on my dark lips in Diva by MAC (photo here.) This year, I was inspired by the black Free People dress that I found on HauteLook and loved the dark smokey eye that Erica gave me. The nude lips were the perfect color to balance out the dark eyes. Plus, I love how Erica applied my face makeup to make my cheekbones pop. If you’re wondering why I look bronzer than usual, it’s because I spray tanned the day before at Arizona Airbrush Studios (see previous post.)

If you’re looking for someone to make you up for your holiday party, a wedding, a birthday party, a date night, a girl’s night out, or even a fun girl’s night in, etc. I highly recommend Erica Mendoza. I’m so fortunate that Casey introduced us! She is extremely talented at her trade, but even more so she is a really great person who I’m lucky to call my friend.

The makeup that Erica used for a classic smokey eye with a nude lip is as follows:
Bobbi Brown foundation stick
Chanel concealer in 20
MAC mineralized powder in Deepest Dark as bronzer
MAC blush in Blushbaby
MAC Painterly eyeshadow primer
Too Faced eyeshadow palette
L’Oréal Jennifer’s Nude
NYX lip liner in Mauve
