This photo shoot was so fun! I am getting ready to go on a three week trip around Italy and Spain with my husband, so I was getting some serious travel inspiration at this location. You would never believe that I’m in downtown Phoenix at an abandon building. It felt very Moroccan with the colors and exterior design elements.

This romper from Tobi is the perfect piece for spring, summer and traveling. The Front and Center Bell Sleeve Romper is made with a crinkle material, so it’s supposed to have a wrinkled look. Plus it essentially provides you with a top and a bottom. It saves room in your suitcase and you don’t have to worry about it getting wrinkled. The fabric is very light with a liner, so you have the long sleeves for slightly cooler weather or as the sun goes down, but it’s not too hot for Arizona weather either. I love playing off of light and dark. With this ivory romper, I paired black accessories to darken up the look. The sandals are from Target and the purse is vintage from Coach. Kate from Kate Nelle Photography captured this look perfectly! The vibe she created with the shoot location was better than I could imagine. For the jewelry, my goal was to build on the “dark” part of the look. All jewelry is from Kendra Scott and I played around with mixing metals with two different bangle sets, layering a suede wrap choker with an adjustable choker/long necklace and topping it off with the black drusy double ring that you see here.

The hat is from Lack of Color, @lackofcoloraus, and was borrowed from Kate, which polished the look off perfectly. Lauren from Gossamer Salon (@l.a.dub and @gossamersalon) was inspired by the overall vibe and decided to create a “girl on the go” look with the pigtail braids. They are normal braids that she pulled out slightly to give the thick and flattened look. She took pieces of hair to wrap around the rubber bands. I’m wearing her halo (hair extensions that go on like a headband – read more here) so I love how the blonde peeks through the reddish brown color of my hair.

Erica Mendoza from June Pearl Beauty, @junepearlbeauty, has done my makeup many times and realized that she’s never played around with a rose gold color on my eyes. Usually I’m always wanting a dark smokey eye or a cat eye and colorful lips. Originally Erica gave me a nude lip, but for this look I switched it up to something a bit more girly. I love a pink/fuschia lip for summer!

This shoot gives me the travel bug! I am counting down the seconds till I leave for Europe. Where are you dying to travel to this summer?
